FRIDAY
Friday afternoon, Steve and Jeff arrived, the plan for the night was to be at the Drag Strip for most of it! After we had everyone together: ourselves, Tonya & Brian, Adam, Steve, Jeff, and Will, we headed to the track...Keith was due to arrive Saturday morning. Steve, Jeff, and Will all ran for times, you'll have to ask them what they ran. We were unable to run because Mike had left his license at home, and I had lost my license id. We had thought we would be able to run regardless, but they checked at the gate to lineup. While in the lineup at the gate, we met up with Jester and his Ford Escort GT. We met Jester on the internet, he moved here, when we met up with him before the fest, he had a beautiful turquoise Base model Beretta, sitting on chrome 17's...shortly after, an accident put it to rest (R.I.P) So he brought his Escort. Will (Achieva Quad L/O) and Jester drag raced together one time, and would you believe that stock Escort ran a 15.8, beating the Achieva... Consequently, it was a great night, watching the Beretta's challenge everything from civics to V8's.
SATURDAY
Saturday we met up at the Silverton Casino, where I locked the keys in the car. We sat in the parking lot for at least an hour and a half. Keith had arrived before us, and with the exception of our Cavalier brothers and Jesters Ford Escort, we had the original four Vegas Beretta's. Keith's car looked different, one of the guys pointed out that it didn't have the roof rack, I think I like it both ways. Steve was back with his signature "Jolt" cola logos, adding a "Jolt" sticker to his brake light. Jeff had come with new mods to show off, as I think all of us did.
After the locksmith came to unlock my doors, which was truly a learning experience (The tool he finally had to use to get the Beretta unlocked was a tricky one.) We headed down to the All Sports Park for some GoKart action, I have a cool pic of Keith revvin up one of the miniature nascars, he hasn't seen it yet! Afterwards we attempted a group shot lined up in front of the large nascar backdrop in front of he building, security broke it up quickly! We did manage some group pics in the parking lot though, those will be up ASAP.
